Android stream boxes

Looking to buy a stream box, want to know if any android stream boxes are capable of using 5.1 audio? I tried a couple, but netflix and streaming from NAS only allowed 2 channel. Currently looking into PF8i from PigFlyTech but cant find any answers as to whether it can do 5.1. Or is it an android based issue, so i should look for something more like a WDTV live type of stream device?
Thanks to any and all that might be able to help.

It is an android stream box, not a phone or tablet. I've tried two different boxes and my Samsung s6. All three only give 2 channel stereo. Just wondering if android based products aren't set up to handle 5.1. I have WDTV live box and 5.1 is no issue. Just seems android based have issue. Looking to try a PigFlyTech PF8i but can't find any literature saying if it does our does not have 5.1 capability. If someone knows android doesn't do 5.1, then I know there is no reason to try. And yes I did try direct to receiver and direct to TV then ARC back to receiver. Netflix never gave 5.1 option using any of the three devices.

Are you looking at those cheap Chinese Android streaming boxes on eBay, or do you want to look at an AndroidTV based device? I think those do 5.1 surround.
