Android phone to Apple router

Can anyone suggest an intermediate device between my Nexus 5 phone and my Apple Airport Extreme router to enable the AE to use the phone as its internet source?

I assume the intermediate device would connect to the phone by USB and via Ethernet to the AE. Does such a thing exist?

What you would do is enable tethering on the phone, and then have that connect to some sort of wifi bridge (like a cheap router with DD-Wrt configured correctly) that would then plug into the router.

I don't think there is any way to do everything wired without a computer in the middle.

I have made a reliable cheap bridge with one of these:

But you need to flash DD-WRT (note these instructions are for the v2 version):

Then configure DD-Wrt correctly (turn off DHCP!):

So for $20 and an hour or two you are set.
