How the hell is this any different from the Google pay we already have?
Nope. You will have to pry my cards from my cold dead hands! get off my lawn ya bastards!
lol, pretty much the same here. I'm almost afraid to even try paying with my phone.
I use cash. Every transaction is crystal clear. You give me stuff, I give you money. No billing issues, no privacy leaks, no hacks.
Why? Its theoretically more secure as it uses a token authorization and doesn't actually give your card info to the merchant.
Yeah, same here. Cards are not such a hassle that I need to start doing payments by phone. What I'm waiting for is for digital driver's licenses to become a thing so that I don't have to carry a wallet at all. Then I would (have to) use my phone.I would at least try it, but since root, xposed, and/or a custom ROM disable all functionality, I can't (yet, I am sure a reliable way to bypass the security will pop up eventually).
It works great at the places it actually works at. Unfortunately right now that is only Lowe's Foods grocery store near my house. I wish every place supported it, I'd leave my cards at home.
