In your case none, but google has to look out for the other 99.9% of people who don't do that.
Btw do you use twrp to backup/restore your phone? Does twrp play nice with encrypted phones?
I figured as much. At the end of the day though, I don't really fault them.

Yes, but honestly I haven't had to do that for a long while. I did it often back in the KitKat days with encryption and it worked fine then.
I have stock recovery, and if I need twrp, I type in "fastboot boot recovery.img" in command whenever I need it or whenever I need to root..
I haven't had to use it as often the past 2 years because because I'm now strictly a stock recovery/Xposed Framework/GravityBox kinda guy, and I've figured out how to flash the latest img without deleting user data.

After doing a quick research in Google, all indications are yes...TWRP now works with Lollipop encryption.
