Android P update killed text auto correct

I have a Pixel 2 XL currently on the Android P 9/5 patch.

Anyone notice any issues with auto text correct after updating? Most immediate thing I noticed was that misspelled words are now underlined in blue instead of red, which then led me to notice that Im misspelling words left and right, usually by one letter and its not getting auto corrected. Im a pretty sloppy texter at times, usually I dont even look at the screen while texting but everything usually comes out fine. Now Im having to really focus on my typing to make sure its spelled correctly because the simplest of mistakes arent getting corrected. And yes, I checked the settings, its turned on. Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

I just noticed my keyboard crashed and burned today. Swipe text recognises nothing.

I also had the battery saver bug for a short while today. Somebody in the app release dept done goofed up today.

I had the battery saver bug happen to me yesterday right in the middle of texting someone. Noticed because the vibrations suddenly stopped when ever I pressed a key.

Funny thing is that I was on the Android P beta for a while and that seems to have ran smoother than the official version.

Hey at least you guys get these fun bugs immediately, instead of in the time it takes to actually work them out.
