Just curious why I was able to auto-install a driver over the internet for my Exhibit 4G using Windows 7 64-bit, on one laptop, but a few months later, and "Device driver not found" for my other laptop(s). Someone obviously pulled the driver from the Windows Update Catalog.
Was this intentional from MS? To make it harder to use an Android phone with Win7, as compared to a "Windows Phone"?
I think it was. I can't recall the last time functional drivers had been pulled like that.

But why would MS pull the generic one?
