I have a Droid X with Android 2.2.1, and while typing text messages, if I bump the message window (in or next to a word), it'll pop up a line with auto-correct suggestions. It's extremely annoying, as it takes up screen space and I often accidentally hit one of the recommendations, replacing the correct word with something silly.
I'm using the stock keyboard, and in Settings -> Language & Keyboard -> Multi-touch keyboard, Show suggestions and Auto-correct errors are set to OFF.
What gives?
