Gizmodo sucks, Engadget is much better. I refuse to even click on that link!

^^ heh

In all seriousness, it was a pretty interesting article although I think that it was a little on the wordy side.

Interestingly enough, I know some Apple employees who are Android enthusiasts. I don't know any Apple employees who use an iPhone instead of Android. At least fairly high up in the technical side of the company the preference looks pretty clear.

I find that hard to believe. Even in non-Apple technical companies iPhone is prevalent. Heck, when I was at a meeting at MS last month there were two iPhones, one BB, and one Windows 6.5 phone.

Still....

Windows Mobile 6.5 is superior to them both :angel emoticon:

Honestly, I used an HTC Touch HD (WM6.1) and found it superior to the iphones at the time and the HD2 wipes the floor with one from my user experience.

The iPhone OS itself doesn't seem too impressive and the hardware is nothing special. In my opinion you can buy better hardware with better software for cheaper. The only real advantage that the iPhone has over my Windows Mobile is the Apple iStore is lightyears more advanced in terms of number of apps and useful apps than Windows Marketplace.

And honestly, I am enjoying this HTC evolution of superior high end hardware.

Is that why almost every Android review asks if the phone is an "iPhone Killer" and has comparison charts to match it up to the iPhone :D

Yes. Exactly.
And George W Bush was elected. TWICE.
If all you guys can ever bring to the argument is bandwagon logic, you automatically fail.

I've never been a fan of closed ecosystems, so an Android phone is probably next for me once my contract with AT&T is up or I get more sick of my Blackberry Bold than I already am.

Two things Apple fanboys need to understand (but won't)

Closed system != quality
Open system != quantity at the expense of quality

Two things Android fanboys need to understand (but won't)

Open system != better by default
Closed system != evil

WM7 is looking to be just another closed system like the iPhone, so I'm not going to consider it unless something truly extraordinary about it (or devices it's used on) comes along.

I always look at the demo models in carriers' stores for insight into how the device will age. To that end, I've ruled out any slider phone, including the Moto Droid, and any phone with a trackball; any mechanical points of failure. So, will it be the Incredible or the EVO 4G or something else? Not sure.. haven't played with them in the store yet.

i only know one guy that works for apple. hes in the tech side and he thinks his iphone will cure cancer or something. its fun when we get out to the bars and i can egg him on with my winmo phone, hes fun to argue with. one thing i can say, apple does hire people with passion.
