Android developers...

This is a pretty rare situation here but I figured I'd ask here.

I wrote an app for Android that was suspended by google about 2 months after I published it. I was sent a DMCA notification as to why they suspended it due to copywritten images. They were in the right. I had downloaded an iPhone image zip off of Capcoms website and modified the images and put them in my app (which I did not know was not allowed but I learned the hard way).

Well sine then I have updated my app and removed the images totally so the images used in the app are 100% free of copyrights.

In the email they sent to me in regards to this, they linked me to this page if I want to send a counter-notification.

http://www.google.com/android_dmca.html#counter

On sunday, I emailed them at the email address provided at the bottom, just telling them my situation and what exactly to do.

By Monday afternoon I had heard nothing back so I went and followed the other advice, writing a letter and faxing it to google as explained in the link as well.

As of Wednesday I had not heard anything at all again, so I googled for a phone number and found this link, http://www.google.com/dmca.html, which has a phone number at the bottom.

So I call them up and it is a pre-recorded message asking to leave my case #, name, and email/phone number they can contact us back in regards to the issue. Then immediately afterwards, another recording comes on and states that the mailbox is full and I cannot leave a message at this time.

I just tried calling again right now and the same thing, mailbox is full.

At this point I'm pretty frustrated because I want to get my app back on the market. I have made updates to it as well as changed the graphics, adding new features and functionality.

I could upload it as a new app, but that would screw over all my customers (over 500 people purchased it) in getting the free update.

Has anyone gone through this before and if so did it take this long to hear back?
