Android camera only takes massive 22MP pics. I only want 2MP.

I think Delerium uses 2mp pictures for his girlfriend (just like the OP) for obvious reasons.

I used to think the pictures on my very first digital camera (0.3 megapixels 640x480) was "good enough" for my low resolution 800x600 monitor but now that I look back on those pictures... wow they're bad. Good enough now is bad in the future.

In 20 years of digital photography, I have never printed one single photo..

That just means your work is shit and not worth displaying. Why do you even bother?

Dlerium, you need to go read a post history from this guy. ALL his threads ALWAYS go this way because even when offered help and advice, he jumps on people and dismisses them out of hand, because the way he does things is the only right way to do things, and anybody else is completely wrong, no exceptions.

Good enough now is bad in the future.
He doesn't care about the future.

You don't print ANY photo?

You don't have family vacation photos in a frame? You don't have a beautiful girlfriend in a dress printed and framed? Are you walls filled with Spiderman posters?

Dlerium has to defend the thread that is titled "Android camera only takes massive 22MP pics. I only want 2MP". Otherwise he could careless. Anything against Android, even the slightest jab.

Consider the use case where I have colon cancer and will be dead in a year. I am taking one daily status photo of my colon with a boroscope camera that I email to my oncologist. He views this photo on a 19" monitor. We will not be printing these photos, nor referencing them in 2040.

Not every photo is that of your dog or wife for some photo album.

So you have colon cancer, and you have no dog nor wife???

Unless you are shoving your phone up your arse to take those pictures I don't see how this is relevant.

I found the "picture size" setting on camera Zoom.

Wait, does the setting really not available to you on Camera Zoom FX?

I actually downloaded that app just to check for you. It's right there on the main menu, it's called 'Picture Size'.

(sorry about the bathroom floor, I was poopin when I tried this a few days ago :hmm:)

Edit: Oh I see what you're saying now. Yes, apparently you have to pay for the feature of 'custom folder' to save your pics. Go upgrade now, as it's just 99cent (90% off - wtf). I just upgraded to test this for you.

Edit 2: I am on Marshmallow with adoptable storage though. Have no way to confirm if this works on outdated OS

Doctor: Mr GoodEnough i see a little something in the corner of that picture but the resolution is too low for me to zoom in and get a clearer image, can you use a 22mpixel camera to retake that photo again? Thanks...

Cronos, Camera ZOOM FX (paid) does not allow you to save to SD card, only internal storage. What a pathetic joke of an app.

Guess this thread has run its course, time to start a new thread about the same EXACT subject.
