i'm trying to automate an app but it's awkward to get to the right screen with tasker/autoinput.

i have to have a task to
open app
wait
paste text
enter
wait
select option
wait

then repeat for next field and the next.

i'd like to have something record the steps i take while in the app so i dont have to do each and every bit manually if that makes sense? got to be something like that?

not tried yet (assuming you meant If by IFTTT) but have tried others: hirotouch etc. haven't tried frep yet but repetitouch seems to work well at recording and advertised as having a tasker plugin but the trail version doesn't allow you to test that so that's out. (not paying that much for an app without being able to test it).

You have a 10 minute window after app purchase where you can refund your purchase if it doesn't work how you want it. 10 minutes isn't a ton of time, but it might be enough to see if it's worth the money.

less of a need now anyway thanks to googling a new script (thank god for xml output).

some make users sign into their google account for the app trial to work but at least that gives you a decent amount of time to test so not sure why more dont do that.
