I need an app that works with the stock Android mail app and detects if you get a certain email with a string that indicates a pager code. I need to have an alarm go off that will wake me up.

Create a new Gmail account. Then create a rule in Outlook to redirect emails containing the pager code to the new Gmail account. If you are on ActiveSync, then your Outlook is presumably connected to an Exchange server, and the rule will be stored to the server (meaning you don't have to leave Outlook connected for it to work). Finally, add the Gmail account to your Android phone (you can have up to five I believe), and within Gmail on your phone assign this account special ringtone.

There may be a way to do this with an just an app, but this is the way I would do it. Good luck!

That's not a bad idea. Thank you!

I ended up creating an Exchange rule that pushes all emails with the specific paging code in the title, and the alert's email address that I need to watch for to a text message on my phone. I found an app called Fire Alert that will set an alarm upon seeing a SMS message with those keywords in them.
Your method is great and I appreciate it as I've never thought of that. The app I'm using will bypass silent/vibrate modes and set off an alarm even if I have it set to silent while I'm sleeping. This way only uses an app, just requires some finely tuned Outlook rules.

Your signature points out something VERY important to left-handed people like myself. I can't afford to mess around with the iPhone's antenna issues whether "fixed", "repaired" or whatever status the issue is in.

I went HTC 4GLTE and iphone is dead to me until they get a new engineering team and 4G.
