Android app that doubles frame rates of video?

Is there an app or a media player for Android that interpolates extra frames so that video files play more smoothly at double the frame rate? I'm honestly sick of the 24fps "cinematic" look. I know that this is demanding on the CPU or GPU but just wanted to check. If a normal LCD TV has this tech I don't see why our mobile devices can't have it.

I'll agree with you that HFR video looks a lot better than the old low frame rate stuff but I'm not aware of an app that does what you want.
I'd guess that it would absolutely murder the battery life if it did. I seem to remember that SVP used to take considerable CPU grunt on the desktop, I'm not sure that an Android device would be able to do it in real time.
