Android app questions. Is there apps for these or is custom roms the only choice?

I was wondering....

Is there an app to have Google Voice SMS messages dictated? I use the Google Voice app and not the default SMS app.

Also I have seen some custom roms of Android offer a wheel to choose quick apps. Is there an app for the pure version of Android?

Also have the Android desktop and menus auto-rotate too?

I have been debating about maybe running custom roms. I heard an upcoming version of CM will offer Google Voice SMS integration with any SMS app which sounds awesome. However pure does seem to offer the basic features I like plus getting updates a lot quicker too. I do enjoy the simplicity of OTA updates.

I might root though to install a better audio equalizer and such.

Until then I am wondering of any apps in the app store to help me out.

For the wheel, this is the only app I've tried.

And for equalization I really like PowerAmp, which is a music player and not a standalone equalizer, but it's a fantastic music player. It has a free trial, but the full version is $3.99
