Haven't gotten around to downloading any apps yet, but one thing I've wanted since I had the iphone was to have a way to read online content on my subway ride to work.

I want to be able to read all the content from various sites while I'm underground and don't have signal. So it would have to be an app that pulls down the content in the morning for me so I can read it underground where there is no signal.

If there were an RSS reader that did this that'd be OKAY, but not quite good enough, unless it went further than the google reader webapp does. Because some RSS feeds only include teaser content and you need to click-through to read the full post/article. In cases like this an offline RSS reader wouldn't work unless it pulled the linked content, or somehow pulled the full posts rather than the teaser content.

The stock News app does what you want - it's an RSS reader. If the RSS feed doesn't provide the full content, you probably won't get it, but for anything I read that's not been an issue.

Otherwise, some publications have their own apps.
