I just received a Moto G that can't be rooted at this time. I plan to use it as a wifi only device. What is the best system wide ad blocker available that doesn't require root?

Edit: Adblock Plus seems to be working withing the offending app. If you have other suggestions I'm all ears since it seems to have forced "acceptable ads".

Adblock Plus. There is some configuration you need to do (read the "Configuration" page linked there) though to get it to work system-wide.

They also have a browser or Firefox addon if you just need web browsing ad blocking. I use μBlock and Ghostery in Fennec alongside AdAway (which does require root) which seems to get rid of most of the ads and tracking crap on the web.

Thanks! I have adaway on my Nexus 7 but it's rooted. It seems to work well.

I just installed adblock plus but it's not like the add-on where you can disable 'acceptable ads'. It seems to work once I set up the proxy. It also blocks ads in accuweather which is why I wanted the blocker in the first place.
