Android (4.0.3 IIRC) question

I'm new to Android, I haven't had a smart phone before either, but can someone please answer why after I once started up the "FM Radio" app (which I assume comes with Android), and not used it since, it seems to be in Task Manager every time I start TM up, no matter how many times I've killed it. Why?

Can I make it stop, properly?

Do not kill apps. It hurts your battery more than it helps.

to exit out of an app properly simply press your back or return button (usually a u-turn arro type icon) until the home screen appears. SOme apps will even ask you if you really want to exit at that point.
