Any android users doing this? I have 3 accounts, gmail, exchange, and google apps. They all have their separate email/calendar/contacts. Can I add all my accounts and have it function similarly to WebOS, in that there's basically a "unified" everything, but it still keeps everything separate in their own accounts?

And related to this, if you use google voice as well, when you dial out, will it tap into the global address book, or only the google account it's associated with?

Considering moving to the HTC EVO if sprint's 4G costs are not extra (or if I can just be limited to 3G and not pay the extra). Love my Pre, but the quirks aren't being put out fast enough, and no new hardware it seems for a bit it seems.

Android has mail application that will work with exchange. Gmail is its own separate app on the phone. Your google apps account and exchange account you can unify it in that you can see combined inboxes if you want to. The combined contacts will happen with no issue and includes facebook also.

google voice will work off the contacs in your phone. Its quite cool and I use it exclusively for txting. You can even have google voice always be used for making outgoing calls if you want also.

why is everyone so gung ho on putting your FB contacts on there... i never understood that with WebOS.

Now, does calendaring work the same way? I had read somewhere that it wasn't, and you could only have 1 google calendar. Not a deal breaker, but would be nice.

You can have it only sync facebook contacts that already exist in contacts.

You have your google calendar and an Exchange calendar. Some of the widgets will let you combine calendars.

I don't mean to thread-jack, and I think this is mostly on topic.

Is it true that whatever gmail account I use to set up my Android phone (soon to be HTC Incredible!), I can't use that gmail account with the Gmail app on the phone?

Well, if I understand what you mean, no that's not true.

The account you use will be the default gmail account. Also, you can add 4 or 5 others as well.

Alright. I had heard that whatever gmail account you register with on the Android Marketplace couldn't be used with the gmail app on the phone for some reason.

Glad to hear this isn't the case, as I really don't need multiple email addresses.
