Andriod n00b with some questions

Well, after playing with it for a day...very nice phone. A few things Ive noticed though...not NEARLY as much customization as Windows mobile. Could be because WM has been around for so long though. Its strange to open up the settings and have it be so...minimal. And not thrilled about having to convert all my FLAC to MP3. Also a little annoyed about not being able to have vibrate AND ringer at the same time (maybe its there and I missed it?) Got a few programs loaded already...pretty easy once I got Root Explorer on there.

All in all pretty nice phone. Now to activate it tommorrow morning :)

If you go into settings then you can turn on vibrate for all alerts and it will always vibrate when you get a call or text. You can set each of them individually.

set vibrate to "always"

most customization is done in the form of widgets on your homescreen, or alternate homescreen apps. very little is changed in the settings. this is what my nexus looks like right now:
