Thanks! I just ordered one for my Mitsu 900U. BTW, Belkin does also make a 10' version. The part # is F3X029-10.

I've tried BNC with my 20" Dell (Sony Trinitron) and didn't see any major difference.

One problem is the loss of Plug and Play in windows as stated by Possum.

Not sure it's worth the $20 but if you have problems with picture quality, it may be worth a try.

My $0.02

I've use this cables with my Mitsu 900U for a year now. I don't think you'll notice a difference on low res, but definitely get it if you have a 19" and using high res.

Never knew this would generate so much interest. :D

DaZ: To answer your question, it's unlikely you will see an improvement, but I have no idea for sure. TNT1 probably cannot display precisely enough for the BNC cable to make a difference. Just a guess though.

oldfart: For a baseline, I saw an improvement at 1280x1024x32bit. However, I also saw a difference in brightness, which is unrelated to resolution. I thought that was interesting. Maybe NEC just sends crap cables with their monitors -- I have no idea.

Well I just hooked my monitor up with the BNC cable. The screen does seem a little sharper and more rich looking, but really I don't see much of a difference.

I just got mine today. I've got a Samsung 700IFT and a Voodoo 3 2000 PCI. At 1024x768 on 85hz the picture looks a lot sharper. Sometimes the picture would be lighter in some places now its a lot more consistant and the shadows behind icons has diappeared. I've only been using it for a few minutes. I'll tell you guys if I notice anything else and i'll try 1280x960.

Oh man. This is funny. So many people with monitors with BNC and don't use it. If this isn't the Anandtech forum, I would've think that these people don't know what it is for.
