i just got this Japan-only album and have listened to it a couple times. all i can say is that it is further evidence that AWK is completely insane. his writing is getting much more ornate and complicated, pushing into Frank Zappa territory, but it has been at the expense of the sing-along quality of his previous albums. also the mix and master are REALLY bad. it's one of the worst-sounding albums i've ever purchased - all mid-range, no bass, no treble, and oppressively loud (even by AWK standards!).
that said, it definetely has its moments of genius, and i expect it to grow on me.
