Just think about it. He’s fired.... for letting FBI agents talk to the press about Clinton.

If he contests it I think he will win.

This administration stands in mockery of US law and US law enforcement institutions. Trump scoffs at the very concept of criminal responsibility.

Unbelievable. Did his job for decades, fired just days before his full pension just to fuck with him. I hope the entire FBI rises up against these assholes.

There’s specific rules for firing civil servants, even SCS level civil servants. He may have a legal recourse. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how this falls out.

haahahahahahahhahahaaha. Just got my Reuters notification.

Seriously, fuck government employees and their ridiculous pension plans... A plan that is entirely dedicated and dependent upon taxpayers ponying up money for it. Ridiculous to say the least. I honestly don't care to throw Andrew under the bridge, but I will throw our government pensions under in an instant.

The time to kill pensions is before the work is done. This is plain old theft.

This was a Trump revenge firing pure and simple.

I wouldn't call it "revenge". McCabe did nothing to Trump, and in fact he is reported to have helped elevate the Hillary Clinton email investigation and I believe he even presented evidence on behalf of that investigation. He was never pro-clinton.

Trump simply found out his wife was a Democrat and that is actually the thing Trump is getting "revenge" for, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if McCabe voted for Trump.

I was under the impression that he didn't "lose" his pension but that the terms for vesting changed. Pensions are very heavily protected under federal law and is tough to have one forcibly seized or forfeit.

It's beyond ironic that McCabe would be fired in a dick move by Sessions who outright lied during his Senate confirmation hearing.

Hell- I'm not sure that the rules allow anybody but Wray to fire McCabe, the chain of command being what it is.

So many ignorant replies here. You say Trump did this. How?

"The FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility on Wednesday made the recommendation to terminate McCabe."
He was out Sunday. It was a dick move pure and simple. He wasn’t trying to stay, he was retiring in two days

So almost two years later no proof if trump russia collusion. Trump and republicans were actually justified in suspecting FBI bias. The left will react with outrage as expected. Whats the world coming to. Sits back, grab some popcorn, and see how badly this fire will burn.

Why aren't you outraged? Is this a liberal tears for an FBI agent thing in your mind?

Man, you need to get unfucked.

Pensions generally have "magic numbers" in order to receive benefits before age 65. For my plan, those numbers are 55 years old & 20 years of service. Dunno about federal civil service but if McCabe didn't hit his numbers he won't collect anything until he turns 65.

That's apparently exactly what Sessions has done-

On his 50th birthday -- this Sunday -- the veteran law enforcement official would become eligible for early retirement benefits, given his 20-plus years of service, according to federal guidelines.

It's shameful but Trump Co has no shame, sad to say.

"What he would lose -- and this is a lot of money -- he would lose the enhanced benefits that law enforcement officers get," said George Chuzi, an attorney who represents federal employees. Under the rules of FERS, that means he could be left with the standard multiplier of 1% on top of his years of service, down from the 1.7% enhanced rate for law enforcement. Former FBI officials tell CNN that McCabe could also lose out on future health care coverage in his retirement if he were to be fired before he turned 50, and the firing could be subject to litigation.
