Dr. Curry has been debunked? That is something i have to laugh at. I can see where your scientific arguments are coming from. Thanks for playing.

She's taking bribes from the oil industry to cast doubt on climate change. You pretty much have to rule her out.

Think of Curry like Robert Kehoe, the scientist the Ethyl Corporation paid to challenge Clair Patterson's evidence that leaded gasoline was harmful. Kehoe wasn't there to provide a scientifically sound counter-argument to Patterson; he was there to give a faux aura of scientific legitimacy to Ethyl's greed. Hell, in some ways Curry is even more conspicuous, as she avoids peer reviews that would call her out on her bullshit.

I said CO2’s role in climate change is absolutely proven. I didn’t say anthropogenic factors are the only contributor to the climate.

Finally you are the one challenging the settled climate science without a supporting competing theory but as a reminder I’ll link you to the science.

Science on how the climate
https://www.acs.org/content/acs/en/climatescience.html

IPCC 6 Assement
https://www.ipcc.ch/assessment-report/ar6/

Climate Change Evidence from the fine folks at NASA
https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/

And just because I care here’s a study that directly measured the energy imbalance caused by CO2 in the atmosphere.
https://www.nature.com/articles/nature14240

So when will you have a competing comprehensive theory? Otherwise your position is simply your unsupported opinion.
Thanks, i thought i had acknowledged that CO2 is a contributing factor along with various other man made gases. I have never made the claim that people aren't a factor, just that they aren't the only contributing factor. Who's challenging science? I'm challenging the politics and policy desires as they relate to climate change, not the science of climate change.

Sure she is and you have proof of these bribes along with her convictions? Actually she has a large number of peer reviewed papers, look them up along with her Curriculum Vitae.

Tell you what.....you're making the claim she's peer reviewed numerous times.....link 'em up. Your claim, your proof to show. You demand others show links to proof of what they claim in their posts, why doesn't the same apply to you?

So show them peer reviewed papers, please. Thanks.

When you claim other nebulous factors are also affecting climate without specifying you are challenging the science.

The factors that affect climate are well known.
11367_2018_1556_Fig2_HTML.png

Anthropogenic factors are almost but not quite all of the increase over the last couple of hundred years.

Most of your post start with an attack on the accepted science. Why else would you continually link to a retired climate scientist who hasn’t published a paper in a reputable journal in almost 15 years and who currently works for the oil and gas industry?

If she had legitimate critiques of the scientific consensus she’d have been able to complete peer review, others would have accepted her work and it would have been accepted into the current body of research. Instead she posts on her blog.

Until you accept the consensus on climate change including the impacts (and to throw you a bone those impacts have an error bar associated with them) we can’t have a discussion on climate change policy since you are coming from a fundamentally dishonest position.

You got science wrong, i can't prove what doesn't exist. You claim it exists, prove it.

We already have. Many times over.

The problem is you do not appear to care. This is not like "the pause", which promptly expired with the last El Nino. You have ZERO alternative theories. The scientific consensus is the only theory left standing. You got nothing else to substitute it with. And you never will.

Every link I posted has every fact fully sourced.

Simply attacking my links without debunking each individual source is not an argument.

It's apparent you have no argument. Your source has been shown to be a propaganda shill for oil companies and changed her entire stance the very year she started taking oil money.

The consensus is against her. Her cherry picked, confirmation bias facts and fabricated BS exposed. No one listens to her outside of the science denialist cult.

Nice try, but you're fronting. You've got nothing.

And then you try the oldest trope with volcanos. Seriously? Bringing up volcanos in a climate chabfe debate is like bring up autism in a vaccine debate.

She openly admits her main source of funding has been oil companies since 2007.

Her stance on AGW did a 180 in 2007.

Coincidence?

You listening to her is like listening to a doctor who is funded by tobacco companies claim smoking doesn't cause cancer in the face of a 97% consensus that it does.

That would be amazingly stupid, wouldnt it?

Yet here we are...

Let me see a list of your published papers since you seem to think you're so better educated in climate science. How many times have you been called to testify to the House and Senate by both Democrats and Republicans? So excuse me if i don't agree with what you say and instead base my opinions on someone with a far better grasp of the science.

Hell, i'd take NASA money too.

I love your caveats about only if I agree with you can we discuss policy. Wow, just wow.

Honestly, looks to me like damned near everything she was doing, such as publishing peer reviewed articles....which is what I asked for, not her CV.....really petered out around 10-15 years ago, about the time she started taking oil/gas co. money. Odd, that.

Still awaiting your links to her CURRENT (like within the last 5 years) peer reviewed articles........and given the amount she screams about climate science being wrong on her blog, it just seems reasonable to me that she'd have quite a few current papers written, peer reviewed and published in respected journals around the world, alerting everyone of the fact the science is wrong. But, from what I gather, her writing is almost entirely centered on her blog....

And I'll probably wait until you die of old age.

Trump supporters trying to act like they care about the accuracy of statements now? Hilarious OP fail, though the low information anti-science dogma there does add an element of sadness to it.

Anyone who wants to debate the scientific merit of climate change doesn't have to look far if they are intellectually honest. Pretending like a politician speaks for the scientific consensus on climate change would indicate a marked lack of interest in honesty.

If these are the limp stories repugs think will save them and their dear leaders from justice and being voted out of office, haha good luck with that.
It's funny that Liberals ignore the precision of what's said when one of the Progresshevik nut jobs such as Andrew Cuomo ramble on. I'm sure the next step is to blame Trump and add "causing hurricanes" to the articles of impeachment.

So you ask for her peer reviewed articles and when i give them you move the goal posts and then complain that i provided you what you asked for. Sorry, but i'm not going to keep playing that game.

The goalposts regarding her don't seem to have moved. She's still a corporate shill and has been since the ~'07 time frame that was referenced prior to you posting her life history leading up to '07.

Sorry that i'm not a member of your Global Warming religion and your anti-energy coalition you are proselytizing for. I like driving my car and truck, riding my motorcycle, heating my home in the winter and cooling it in the summer and using the great variety of petroleum products that are offered. When you completely stop using them you can let me know.

Glad to see you still building straw men with the best of them. I'll be sure to remind you when it spontaneously combusts in a few summers.
