I was at a local computer store today to get a pass-thru cable for a Voodoo2, and while the guy was getting it, I noticed a video card on their shelf of older things....this thing was HUGE. It was about twice as long as a V5. I don't know what card it was, but a chip on it said Tseng...geez and people complained about the size of V5, this thing dwarfs it.

Yep, I saw pictures from some old monochrome cards a week or so ago...these cards were HUGE as well.
Anyway, you mentioned the name Tseng...that brings back memories for me because I used quite a lot Tseng cards (the last one was a Tseng Labs ET4000 I think...it even suvived long enough to work together with a Voodoo2 in my system a few years ago), I dunno what happened to them though, maybe they didn't make the transistion to 3D...(?)

I wish the 6000 would have made it out.I would have bought it.The 5500 is the Tim Allen of 3dcards man.It looks so cool with its dual gpu's and fans.Besides it plays everything kickass still.Dont knock it till youve tried it.

I have a full-length sound card. :) The Roland LAPC-1, MT-32 on-a-stick. 13 inches of one of the most awesome soundcards you could get. :p
Most PC cases have a notch at the opposite end to HOLD these full length cards steady in place.

At my previous work, I found a card with 3 S3 Trio64's on it :)
HUGE didnt even begin to describe it.

Dont know what tripple Trio's would do though, 3 times as fast 2D? :)

My father does alot of 3D graphic work on Pro Engineer & he has a Evans & Sutherland Lightning 1200 that is almost the length of the Mid-tower case **LOL**

It actually "looks" like you're getting something for the price he paid :)
