Md. Teen Arrested for Making Moonshine

Fulton, Md - Authorities say a teenager in southern Howard County used what he learned from science class and the Internet to build an illegal moonshine distillery near his home.

The corn whiskey still was discovered in a wooded area near Fulton by a woman walking her dogs. Authorities arrested the boy early Tuesday during a stakeout.

Government agents say it was built from a bucket, a trash can and some copper pipe.

The boy's name has been withheld because of his age.

The Comptroller's office says it's the first moonshine distillery found in the state in five years.

The story isn't clear, but I'd bet he wasn't arrested for operating the still, but for selling/distributing his product. Not so smart, after all.

I hope you aren't thinking distillation is something special. Any dumbass can do it. Do you see most of the types involved in moonshine making?
