Oh no!

CHILDREN FORCED TO INGEST BROCCOLI WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT. IT'S JUST LIKE AN ABORTION, ONLY WITH BROCCOLI. DINNER TABLE MASSACRE.

Children are essentially property of their parents until the parent abandons them, or they leave on their own.

So we are clear you are sarcastically supporting the government coming into people's houses and forcing children to eat broccoli without the consent of the parents?:hmm:

Not entirely. Parents cannot abuse or neglect their children or they may face criminal charges. An inanimate possession you can destroy or do whatever you want with.

Ah yes, that collectivist mentality works so well. Forget individual rights, freedoms, choices and all that garbage, it's so much more efficient if we decide what's best for everyone and force everyone to do it  Using your rationale, shouldn't we ban all sugary drinks? Ban all food that could potentially be unhealthy? Ban sex outside marriage? Force people to exercise 1 hour per day? Etc etc etc etc

Why do you think we have laws? Why should people follow laws?

Well when you had major Hollywood celebrities pushing this bullshit about vaccines what do you expect? Especially when others jumped onto the bandwagon and were playing the "Oh those evil pharmaceutical companies are trying to give your kids autism for profits with these vaccines cause they are greedy" rational. The same can be said about the GMO bullshit scare that isn't actually based on any real science.

Speaking of science, ever hear of the Christian Science believers? And they're hardly the only religious group that views modern medicine with disdain.

This threat you see didn't start with your dreaded Hollywood liberals, hate to break it to you.

I've met families that say rubbing alcohol is the only thing god will allow them to use besides prayer when someone falls ill or injured. For every nutjob who believes something like your conspiracy example I'd bet there are ten religious fundie nutjobs and they believe even crazier shit. And they crank out kids by the truck load.

Mayor of NY tried that. Ironically studies show diet soda is worse for you.

Pretty sure the first lady wants to do that. Or at least ban all food that tastes good (aka salt, even though studies basically say banning it is hopeless and quite possibly pointless).

I am sure if liberals had their way we would all be eaten saltless vegeterian gruel.
