Once considered a favorite for the Republican presidential nomination, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is expected to announce Monday that he is dropping out of the race, after sinking poll numbers.

According to the New York Times, Walker has informed GOP sources and campaign supporters of his decision, citing concerns over fundraising. Campaign officials confirmed the announcement to NBC News.

Walker's campaign called a press conference in Madison, Wisconsin, scheduled for later on Monday.

I always thought it would be Jindal first but yes Trump totally stole his votes and he couldn't make any headway.

I think the next one to drop out is Rick Santorum.

Hopefully they will all drop out, and hopefully clinton gets nailed. That leaves Bernie.

Scott Walker's policies that he implemented in that state made him as dangerous as any candidate imo.

But there are still enough landmines among that field... especially considering the fact that in the next few years some SCOTUS politicians (defacto royalty really) will be retiring.

.....

Along with those other Repub Gov's that dutifully heed their rich benefactor's calls to reduce their tax load to zero and dump that load on the middle class and the poor, Walker represents for me a little bit of justice done and a stinging slap to the Koch Brother's faces and their agenda to carve out a virtual fiefdom for themselves from the Heartland states of America.

As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, I find Scott Walker an incredibly depressing figure. He has done his level best to ruin my beloved alma mater, as just one part of a completely failed austerity plan that has only impaired the state's economic recovery. Fuck that guy . . .

Scott Walker lost me when he said a woman's life was no exception for abortion.
How did he even qualify as human?

I thought he'd last longer, but I guess his overlords decided to take their money elsewhere.

Good riddance. Congrats republicans?

The corporatist GOP establishment wants to have one candidate against Trump, probably Jeb, so they are pressuring others to drop out.

Plus, he has all the charisma of Richard Milhouse Nixon.

If he wanted to go up in the polls maybe he should have talked about Planned Parenthood's harvesting baby's brains while they're alive and kicking.
