I remember you. Should feel real comfortable living in North Korea. Because that's the kind of government you want.

I OTOH, think its dealings with the American people need to be transparent. Anyone standing in the way of that should be thrown in a pit. Lucky for you, that's a two for one deal in the North.

I really do not think the guardian should publish such information, given its classified nature. These things are classified for a reason.

As to the leaker, has he no shame. Is he trying to help destroy this country. I hope he is found out.

If the government has nothing to hide, then why should it fear this information?

You always claim that government is nothing but the people. So why should the people hide this?

One of the biggest shame factors here is that it has to be a foreign media source to report on the abuses the Obama administration has been heaping on our country. Is our media too intimidated to publish this information or just too deep in the Democrats pocket?

Yet aren't you the one that said the following?

If the children or other family members will have access to the gun then they should be interrogated too.

We can also use teachers to enforce these rules, they can ask their students to be honest and if mommy and daddy are in violation of these rules.

either bullshit by Guardian or a controlled "leak" by NSA, a lot more countries would be red/orange if this was real

i was thinking that myself. but who is to say?

edit: actually now that i think of it. i don't think there would be more red/orange. right now the "hotspots" are red/orange. the other areas are close.

what scares me is the us's color..

So fox news is in the Democrats party as well? These programs have been going on since bush was in office, was the media protecting him?

So why weren't you guys complaining when a whistle-blower revealed that the first steps of this were taken about a decade ago when the government stuck a big datamining pipe into the AT&T facility in SF?

If people are saying that it's wrong no matter who is doing it I agree... however, how come not as many people paid attention back then as are paying now?

yeah well, too bad very few people were paying attention about 7 years ago... if you are faulting President Obama for continuing and expanding something that his predecessor did... then I agree.

Haha, I knew you would be for this collecting of information. You are a sheep, a piece of cattle sent down a slaughter house pen, a perfect tool of leaders. People like you are meant to be led, to be told what to do; you make perfect slaves because you're as compliant as fresh play dough, and as intelligent.

OK, i'll go along with this, but I was complaining about the excesses of the last 5 administrations, so it's nothing new to me to be bitching up a storm about losing our freedoms.

I agree the reduction freedoms (in this case the diminishing of the 4th Amendment) is a loss no matter who is President.

As far as the datamining capabilities go, as far as I know, only the last most recent two Administrations were involved.

You may well be right, you often are, but i thought it also involved Clinton administration, I might have been confused by more recent stories like this 2006 one.

To me that looks like campaigns (both major parties) targeting likely voters (and getting contact info, shopping habits, t.v. watching preferences and other miscellaneous info) in order to "get out the vote" rather than an effort to see what those people are saying in e-mails (and other communications) like the AT&T story and other stories afterwards describe.

I just read the 1st and last paragraphs and skimmed the rest though.
