The Environmental Protection Agency blocked reporters from several news outlets from a national summit on Tuesday where Scott Pruitt, the agency's chief, was speaking.

CNN, the Associated Press and E&E News were barred by the EPA from entering the event.

Jahan Wilcox, an EPA spokesman, said the agency barred reporters from attending due to space limitations inside the venue.

However, a handful of seats in the press section remained vacant by the time Pruitt began speaking.
There were dozens of empty seats in the room, and a photo obtained by CNN also showed space for cameras.

Reporters denied entry were grabbed by security guards and forcibly shoved out of the building after asking to speak to an EPA public affairs person.
A CNN photographer saw the female journalist being shoved out of the building by a uniformed guard.

Exactly 50.1% of Alabama voters voted for someone other than the only person who could defeat a known child molester. You can pretend that Alabama is an anomaly but the reality is that it isn't that far off from most states and if you asked most conservatives across the country before the election if they thought Doug Jones was a better candidate, relatively few would agree. Keep in mind that Doug Jones is a conservative by most measures. So the reality that you want to deny is that a huge portion of the country really does believe that a child molester is better that any Democrat, even a conservative one.
