Yes, because Google has been updating the flash player to work with their pepper api with Adobe's blessing. Mozilla has no intentions of implementing the pepper api in their programs so we're stuck with the 11.2 version of flash.

That's because the only way to get the latest flash plugin on Linux is to use Chrome/Chromium.

I would blame the developer of the game for requiring the more recent than latest Flash. You might want to check no-script there too though, it can interfere with flash too.

The latest flash version is 11.6. The only way to get the 11.6 version of flash on Linux is to use chromium. I'm not blaming the developer on this one bit. When I heard Adobe was not releasing new versions of the flash plugin for Linux and only doing security releases of the 11.2 version I knew this day would eventually come.

Why not use chrome or chromium then? They are the fastest browsers around which is a virtue for the purpose of gaming. If you play with proprietary closed source frameworks, your choices will eventually be limited.

I do have chromium installed but I don't like to use it because the interface sucks IMO. Also the speed difference between Firefox and Chromium is negligible these days.
