Does not surprise me, but they don't even have to go that far, the government already did all that work with their surveillance programs including private stuff that's not publicly accessible online. So they can probably just buy that info from the government as they already have a full profile built on you.

Though really they don't even need to look at FB, they just need to look at spending records. If you bought booze then they can blacklist you. I guess it's probably a good idea to pay cash for booze instead of using debit or credit card.

So you think in small insignificant amount, this is acceptable?

Automobile insurance is required by law for those driving cars yet they are allowed to adjust rates based on age and sex. Discrimination based on what a person says is certainly better than that. Fuck irresponsible people and those that publish their irresponsibility for the whole world to see.

Won't disagree here.

How you act on social media is a choice.
What color car you choose is a choice.

Age is not a choice.
Gender is not a choice (Well, liberal SJW might argue with me here :D)

Honestly, I would love to do away with judgement of fees based on factors that you can't choose in life (Age, Gender, Race). But for things like health insurance, obviously age is a pretty good indicator. I guess it's one of the reasons I just want to say fuck it and make a Single Payer system.

fake edit: So... since we can now designate what our gender is.... can I claim to be a female and demand a lower rate on my auto insurance since I deem myself to be a female?
