So I'm trying to figure out what is the best Windows video editing software out there for when I get my new DVD burner, so I won't have to go use my old middle school's Mac lab (sadly the best lab in the city, probably county for video editing). Feeling lucky, I type "Windows video editing" into the main address bar in Firefox, and this is what comes up Ugh. These morons are actually saying that with WMV 9 and WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER 2, Windows is better for video editing than Mac. Dear sweet baby jeebus, what is this world coming to? I was recently reading a thread on Fark about how people can't believe n00bs don't do their research by looking online, but this was the top-rated google link for windows video editing. Sad, sad, sad, sad.

while wmm2 isn't all that the author seems to think it is.......it is a huge leap from wmm1. i think wmm2 is a very good beginner/noob level video editor. simple to use and lots of fun effects. definitely not a power user/advanced program. not even close.

Any suggestions as to what is a good advanced program?

i am by no means a video expert, but it seems that Adobe Premiere is a popular high end video editting program.

I tried Premiere 6, but had a lot of trouble and haven't since then.. iamme is right, lots of people swear by it though.. I did like Pinnacle a lot, but never got much chance to use it.

Congratulations. You've managed to link to a video that was marginally funny when it came out, i dunno, three years ago, and whose time has long since passed. Good job. Where's your All Your Base link while you're at it?
