And now some Benchmarks..Comments?

Just ran some benchmarks on my new system. Your opinions on these scores?

Notes:
I am running the CPU at default and the memory at Turbo timings CAS 2 @166Mhz
Video card is OC'd at 300 / 600

Sandra Benchies

CPU:
Dhrystone ALU = 4588 Mips
Whetstone FPU = 2303 Mflops

Memory:
RAM Int Buffered = 1985 mb/s
RAM Float Buffered = 1920 mb/s

Multi Media:
Integer = 9075 it/s
Floating point = 10519 it/s

Other benchies
Video Card:
3Dmark2001se = 11,866

that seems to be about normal from what i recall

maybe time for some overclocking?

With your faster CPU and memory I'd say you have a bit of tweaking that can be done still. My score is awfully close to yours.

Must be time to turn up the juice a bit....

New 3DMark score = 12,349

Here's what I did to bump this up:
FSB=141
CPU Voltage=1.825
Mem Voltage = 2.80

My XP 2000 is now reading at XP2100...Temps holding stable at 49c

For the record, my AthlonXP 1900+ and my PC2100 are running at rated speeds (no overclocking). My GF4 Ti 4200 is the only thing overclocked in my system though I will say I feel that my system is pretty fine tuned/tweaked out.

i think you mean mem voltage of 2.8?

Doh! Yes, I did mean 2.80 thx for catching that.

Yeah, the card is OC'd to 300 / 600 (from 275 / 550) but it hasn't even broken a sweat 🙂

What version of sandra are you running??? Cause those ram marks are more in line with pc2100 not pc2700 or 333mhz ddr you say you are running...Should get closer to 2500's for scores there...

I am running the most current Sandra, but here's the kicker...My memory FSB was set at 133 which was causing my MoBo to read it as PC2100...I changed it to FSB 166 and now it reads at PC2700

New benches upcoming.

Your memory running at PC2100 would certainly account for the equity in our scores. I can't wait to see your benchmark scores now. 🙂

Ok, here's the new scores with my Memory properly configured and a little OC'ing:

CPU:
Dhrystone ALU = 4942 Mips
Whetstone FPU = 2546 Mflops

Memory:
RAM Int Buffered = 2193 mb/s
RAM Float Buffered = 2126 mb/s

Multi Media:
Integer = 10,659 it/s
Floating point = 11,537 it/s

Other benchies
