The Grammar police

They're looking at their car over there.
You're smile brightens your face.
It's a car on its side.
Better to be too early than to be too late.

<<You're smile brightens your face.>>

You mean:

"When you're smiling, it brightens your face."

ZV

EDIT: Reminds me of the guy in my dorm who crosed out the "ing" on the word "excepting" in a sign on my door. If you are going to correct someone, you had best be certain that you are correct first.

i think that was latin. and on a somewhat related tangent, "Go." is the shortest sentance in english.

Because "Go" (the verb) is being used as a command, it is in the imperative, and the "you" (the subject) is understood.

In latin that makes the shortest sentence "i"

random things to know!

HappyFace: Think before you post. That was Latin for "Who shall guard the guardians themselves?"

krystalogik: I thought the shortest sentense in English was "I am". I'll ask my teacher...

Ameesh: NEF posts like yours will get a good thread locked faster than you could say "sixth sick sheik's sixth sheep's sick" (said to be the toughest
tongue twister in the English language ;))
