You`ll probably get a few guys here and there to create a ROM for it but like you said, it`s old now and I don't see 2.3 getting put on it officially.

Considering we are currently getting android 2.2.1 for some reason I wouldn't be surprised to see android 2.3 appear for the Droid 1 officially. A lot of people will be keeping that phone for at least another year. I suspect 2.3 will be the last 'major' update it will see...officially :sneaky:
