And a race to 3000 WU's!

Well this is the first race I've been in since the Great race to 1000 WU's back in June/July time.

This one is so far just between me & Polo (one of the 1k racers) ,but anyone else is welcomed to join.I guess Polo will be after blood this time
as I passed him in the last week or so of our last race when I had some lucky assimilations & he lost some output whilst he was away on holiday.

Current stats are

Polo_______1955

Ok ,I admit I've got a head start ,but the above mentioned assimilations were temporary & I have since lost them ,he's now outproducing me by a small margin.

Anyone else want to join?
Oh yeah ,no help is allowed from other TA members in this race

I've added a P166MMX @200 today. It seems very slow !!!! SETIWatch estimates the completion time at 32 Hours !!!!
But every little help counts !

My brothers Pentium 166MMX on CLi v2.4 is doing WU's from 22-24 hrs ,I maxed out the RAM timings .Oh yeah thats with 64Mb EDO RAM on a VX chipset board.

The first WU with the P200 took 28h45m09s. It's a VX board with only 256 Kb of L2, 64 Mb of EDO RAM. But it's my server box and it's running Winroute, WinVNC and SETI@Home. I have a similar box at work I could assimilate : P166MMX, 256 Kb L2, 64 Mb EDO RAM actually running RC5-64, Sambar proxy server and sharing 2 printers for the work LAN. Perhaps next week ?

I found the Pentium 200 he had was about the same speed in SETI as the Pentium 166 MMX he's got now (which is faster in games),I assume this is down to the double size L1 cache of the MMX.
His board has 512k pipeline burst L2 cache .

29hrs odd for your 1 is pretty good considering its work load
