ah heck, I was there in Kerala for a couple of months back in 2002!
Just pointing out your insanity.
Here's another doozy from you:
"Nostradamus has predicted that an ancient civilisation under the great mountains(the himalayas) in the East would conquer the whole world. I eagerly await our revenge and conquest!!!!!!" - Braznor
this one is pretty good as well:
"I want Bharat to have the great space fleet and dominate the universe for all time and space!!!!!!!" - Braznor
Face it dude..you're nucking futs!
Ok... $20 billion is a lot of money...
But I don't think we can claim that this shows how rich India was at X time in the past. In the big scheme of things $20 billion aint that much.

The US is worth $54 trillion.
India is probably worth $4 trillion. So that treasure if with half a percent of the countries total wealth... (didn't realize india was so cheap. We should just borrow some money from China and buy it)
I don't really understand how all these treasures were accumulated; was it all donated in the form of jewelry or coins? Was there a "goal" as far as amounts were involved?
From what I can gather it would seem that there was no set amount- they just kept adding to the pile until the gods were happy- filling these underground vaults until another could be added and filled.
Were these fabulous stashes never audited and inventoried?
Maybe it takes a non-western thought process to understand this....many thanks to anyone of the local region or religion who can help an old western capitalist at heart understand this stuff.

Those statements were made decades ago. You have no basis to consistently hijack my threads on unrelated terms by trolling.
Many of the statements are made in the spirit of 'Nuke from Orbit' which prevades these forums. I have seen Americans wishing death on my families by nuclear war.
Preach your rationality to them first.
The wealth was the treasury of an old Indian Kingdom who secreted away the riches from invaders and the colonial government.
This was just one unknown temple. There were hundreds and thousands of other temples which were vandalized by marauders.
India was a piss-poor country raided for religious fueds and for trade goods (ivory and shit).
:hmm:
I didn't know India exported shit too. I think I need to update my database right away.
You have to be a pretty big nimrod to not know that India historically had some goods that were desired. Like... the entire reason for the discovery of America by Europeans.
Braznor, three things:
1. You have no idea how long a decade is. You've only been a member here since 2005, there is no possible way you made comments here "decades" ago.
2. You have no idea how economies work. These findings do not "go to show" how rich India was or is. Nothing has a price until value is artificially set to it by supply and and demand; you would have been more correct stating these artifacts are 'priceless'.
3. You are one of the cockiest self-serving bigots on these forums. Your elitist attitude toward your own ethnicity and religion actually goes to prove how behind the times most of India is. Take a page from your own beloved scriptures and hate those who are worthy of being hated, those that spread violence, whether Muslim, Jew, Christian, Hindu or even Athiest. I hope to hell people do not stereotype the typical Indian by what you preach. There are sensible people that hail from that part of the world, yet they ironically make their presence less known than the insensible ones.
I don't need to tell you where I'm from.
so does this mean India is rich?
