2005-06 is not "Decades ago"

Still it doesn't matter when you said them, you said them and they are nutso.

Face it, you are a Hindu extremist. Which when you think about it is a pretty god damned bizarre thing in itself.

I'm off to tend to the food on the smoker........enjoy your day in la la land.

Six years! Moron. People get less for murder and even then it did not justify you hijacking this unrelated thread.

I'm a Hindu nationalist and there is nothing bizarre about it.

And by the way, India is not la la land, it is the very epitome of hell, for a hindu that is. That's what I'm fighting for.

Fuck off.

You are a moron considering your own attitude.

The comments weren't made here, but on a site outside Anandtech and it was over six years ago. Considering this is the internet this might well as be a lifetime away. People get away easier for greater crimes.

I know ten times more than you how economies work and what makes them tick.

Your statements are nonsensical. Considering demand and supply, gold and diamonds have been in demand since men discovered them. Sure this wealth would not give an accurate estimation of the size of ancient Indian economy, but it shows it what it was. This wealth may not have been circulated in the society, but consider this as a part of a reserve.

By the way, the 20 billion estimate is just the value of this treasure in terms of volumes. Intrinsic value of this find is estimated to be in hundreds of billions considering many articles in find date back to over thousand years ago.

And lastly about me.

You say I'm a bigot and I have an elitist attitude. I say I have no reason to be otherwise. You are right in saying India is a very shitty country right now and the reason why this is happening is not because of me, but instead because of the circumstances which are being caused to destroy my people.

WHy wouldn't I be a bigot? Attack me and I will hate you. Attack my people and I will hate you further. You people complain all the time about how affirmative action is ruining your country, well, hundred times worse is happening in mine thanks to well meaning idiots like you running my country.

You hope to hell that the typical Indian is not stereotyped by me. But the fact is that I'm not Indian at all in my beliefs and motivations and actions.

The typical Indian is a fool who does not know what's good for him and I thank heavens I'm not that.

Judge me what you want, but the fact of the matter is the reality on the ground and not the air you and shiner breath by sitting on your high horses.

...You took 11 paragraphs to tell me I was right?

You refuted my argument about your nonsense claims about decades and alluded to "crimes" for some reason, your point against my economical question was met with, "well...think of them as reserves" and lastly you defend being a bigot with "why would I be otherwise"?

Here's the cliffs for anyone not willing to read his post:

"Scrued...yep, you're absolutely right."

What you think I care what you, shiner and this forum thinks of me?

Ha ha.

Thanks to Shiner, I have already improved my position among my peers who matter the most. Shiner gave me what I always wanted. I just wish he would keep it in the right place instead of hijacking other threads.

Ha ha,

What do you think? That you living somewhere away and judging people and circumstances is cool. I live and confront this hell everyday,

Hate me all you want, In fact I encourage it, In fact if you are what I suspect to be, then I welcome your hate. Your hate makes me feel better, That I have not failed in pissing the people I want to piss off.

India is a den of robbers, evil men ruling over a subjugated people too weak to do do anything about it. It amuses me to see idiots like you running around saying how India is rising, India has arrived, India is developing, secularism is paramount without a clue to the circumstances on the ground.

India is still a slave nation. It has been a slave for the past thousand years and is still today, just at the hands of different classes of rulers who have no identification or empathy or any connection with the people. One of their very obvious agenda is the destruction of Hindu society and none of them are very subtle about it. Someday I will make a thread about this.

I'm sure you are a very patriotic Indian American on the rush to protect your homeland from barbarians like me. This is how you see yourself as. You must be a thing in India called a 'pseudo secular' and this breed is particular known for its rabid hate, vilification and slandering. So I know where you are coming from. They are experts in turning lies in to truth and truth into slander when it suits them.

There are plenty of Hindus amongst their ranks and I'm not surprised by the hate of your kind for me.

And lastly, you are not the first Hindu to hate me in this universe. There are plenty and by significance you must be amongst the last.

Isn't this supposed to be about treasure? I came in here expecting discussions of the history of said treasure.

Yeah, thank shiner for hijacking it.

The term "don't feed the troll" comes to mind. Whoever was responsible for starting it, you all fed off each other. Sometimes the bigger man is the one who doesn't say anything.

But hey, it's the internet... I suppose I shouldn't expect such civil actions.

CNN is reporting the treasure is valued at $11B so far, but the inventory is not complete.

http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/07/04/11-billion-treasure-revealed-beneath-temple-in-india/?npt=NP1

But the difficulty in assessing its worth is that the inventory being done does not assign value, just lists what's there. Value is being assigned by others, but only on physical value, not historical, which is probably multiple times higher than the physical value of the gold, gems, etc.

Indian sources say the treasure won't be moved, used for anything, but instead will be left where it is due to its historical significance.

http://articles.timesofindia.indiat...735333_1_kg-of-gold-coins-chief-priest-temple

Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy said the treasure would remain with the temple. "The wealth belonged to the temple and it will be preserved where it was found. There is religious and historical significance to the findings. The state will ensure its security," Chandy told reporters on Sunday.

Interestingly, in an Indian Economic Times piece about the region, apparently the treasure hoard has been amassed while the region has been basically wallowing in abject poverty and squalor. Seems the royalty and religious leaders were/are more concerned about themselves rather than helping the region and its poor state of affairs.

That article is a bit misleading. We don't have any large industries (mostly due to successive governments with communist leanings supporting trade unions to the point of running an industry impossible), but I'd hardly describe the state as "wallowing in abject poverty and squalor". Yes, the economy depends a lot on remittances from expatriates, but the standard of living in general is reasonably good.

As to the treasure, it is not simply the result of the royal family "hoarding" wealth. Much of it was donated by devotees, and as such, belongs to the gods as per local religious sentiment and cannot be used or sold by "mere mortals". The royal family are merely custodians of the temple (they have not had much say in administrative affairs of the state for over half century), and as a matter of fact, the vaults were only opened because someone accused the royal family of opening the vaults (and removing valuables) and the Supreme Court passed a judgment requiring an inventory.

Moron, you know nothing of history.

Muslim Nationalism founded the Caliphate and countless brutal empires.

Christian Nationalism saved Europe from the marauding hordes of Arabia.

Jewish Nationalism founded Israel.

I could could go on and on about this all day, Get the drift, stupid?

Hinduism as a nonviolent religion failed on the grounds of self hate, denial of the reality in terms of circumstances in the quest of some self imposed code of honor.

Hindu Nationalism will work because we Hindu nationalists will rectify these defects.

And do you the extent of the persecution of Hindus?

Read this stupid Hindu (If you are really one)

http://www.rediff.com/news/column/fatal-flaw-in-communal-violence-bill/20110602.htm

Here is the gist of the Article :

This Bill is about to be passed by the parliament: Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence Bill, 2011.

From the writer's words:

The manipulative syntax of the bill smacks of a furtive agenda to tilt the scales in favour of a specific community at the cost of the majority and violates the basic tenet of equality before the law.

Being charred to death in a train compartment transformed into a raging inferno by a violent, baying pyromanaical mob reeking with animosity would certainly codify one as a victim of communal violence by any lexicographic criterion (Godhra 2002). But not if you happen to be a Hindu, the majority community, you do not, according to the Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence Bill, 2011.

As per the bill, a 'victim' is not a stand alone descriptor but includes a modifier of 'belonging to a group as defined under this Act'.

And a 'group' the bill stipulates is "a religious or linguistic minority, in any state in the Union of India [ Images ], or Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes within the meaning of clauses (24) and (25) of Article 366 of the Constitution of India."

Hold on idiot, thanks for giving an idea about a P&N thread.

By the way. you have Jihad in your name. Most Hindus in India wouldn't such a thing and neither would most overseas.

You must be the stupid exception I guess.

Thanks again.

Have there been any pictures of said treasure released, or of any of the others that have been "found"?
