Many people have written and complaind about propaganda in the media stemming from the Bush administration, but this article clearly shows that door can and does swing both ways.

whoever did that second one is a horrible photo editor, just by looking at the two composed together, you can tell it's different pictures, the lighting from each of them conflicts with the other

Great, it's mental masturbation for conservatives. There are idiots on both sides.

Heh, photos can be used to further your cause. But really, these anti-war protests usually turn into pro-Arab nationalist rallies along with other causes. Many often times turn into anti-American, anti-Israeli. Not surprising to see the Palestinian flag flying there.

I'm not saying its a bad thing though. If they want to support the Palestinian extremists, go right ahead.

Oops, I almost forgot, since you're anti-Bush, that standard doesn't apply to you. Nevermind.

Its been an overcast today, I blame it on Bush. I'm sure you are happy.

The picture was shown on FNC, but they explained that it was fake and showed the original (without Fonda) for comparison.

Shown in the context it is, what do you suppose it is most likely to be? Seems to me that he made a fair analysis of the situation, and didn't "pull a conspiracy theory out of his arse". Nice comments though :)

What's wrong with displaying the Palestinian flag?

In this context, it's being used to portray an anti-Jewish, anti-West, anti-Christian message. It shows that their motives are not "Anti-War" as is suggested by other analysies.

Looking at the photos, I don't necessarily think that the author is completely honest in his/her declaration of falsity.

The pictures that he took with the woman carrying the banner shows her hand with that ugly, gaudy ring and the girl over her left shoulder while some sort of strap across her right shoulder.

The picture that he claims is fake because "he took the exact picture at the exact moment" has the woman's hand in a higher position and she is no longer carrying whatever was attached to the strap (backpack possibly).

The SF Chronicle might have intentionally cropped the picture to obscure the obcenities (not like every other network or newspaper in the US doesn't do this same exact thing b/c of FCC regs) but they did not in any way try to influence a danged thing. Especially if you consider that they picture is taken at a different point in time and, oh yeah, the Chronicle actually DOES show that the protestors were NOT JUST US ANTI-WAR people!!!

SF Chronicle photo essay that debunks this propoganda-spinning crap

If you actually go to the photo essay in the above link, you will see that the Chronicle posted a series of photos that show that there were many people, races, nationalities and political make-ups included in this march. Effectively shooting the "theory" to sh*t that they were trying to hide the identity of the protestors in the OP photo to cover the tracks of "commies and terror supporters" in the mix.

Wow - interesting how this little 'outrageous website article' caused the mighty radical-right RAILDOGG to become insecure enough to post and hiss.

Those are CLEARLY two different times. In one the chic is holding the poster in the other (apparently "doctored" photo) she is holding her fist up. The photo used to show doctoring is taken at a completely different time! Is this not obvious? Please show me ONE real instance of the left using the same tactics at the right (Kerry photo, sound doctoring with Dean, swift boat liars, need i continue?).

It's a common theme in many "anti-war" protests, especially those with an Islamic influence. Call me un-PC if you wish, but I don't trade PC-ness for truth.

Um.. that's great. Now what is your response about the content of the page? :p

I thought it was very informative and does point out what most newspapers / news sites do.
