"I will certainly vote against George Bush because he is leading the nation to further violence and eroding civil liberties," said Ehrlich, who is editor of Social Anarchism, a 3,000-circulation magazine.

I don't think I've ever heard of anarchists deciding to vote a polititian out of office. I'm still thinking about this. I'm not quite sure how this fits into the grand scheme of things. In one sense, it is quite funny. In another, it is quite sad that the current administration has performed in such a fashion that even people who tend to disregard the government want to see it gone.

That's one group I believe Kerry and Co. would rather not have an endorsement from! It's like the Klu Klux Klan endorsing Bush!

The first rule of Fight Club is... you do not vote for Bush.
The second rule of Fight Club is... YOU DO NOT VOTE FOR BUSH.

It's like I have been saying all along re third party voting: sometimes your vote has more value as a strategy than if you vote your conscience. So, the anarchists may have no great love for Kerry, but they realize that if Bush gets re-elected they get a climate more hostile to the anarchists, whereas Kerry would be more likely to leave them alone.

What makes you say that?

There has been a lot said about how much this administration has done to chill free expression. There's another thread today about the FBI looking at protesters. Granted some of it is paranoia, but look at how hard it is to get into a Bush rally. Suffice it it say that Ashcroft has not exactly created a climate that is conducive to the expression of dissent. This is another example of the political pendulum swinging farther than usual, this time to the right, and it is likely that under Kerry or anybody else things would not be so extreme.

Well after seeing all those Anarchist groups in action everytime there is a WTO meeting I can say that I believe that keeping an eye on them, especially in this climate of terror, is a necessary evil. All they (the Ananrchists) will be accomplishing is distracting the Security Forces needed to keep the terrorists at bay. I believe that any Administration, no matter what party they belong too, would not be doing all they can to protect Americans if they let these assholes go unchecked.
