it's dropped a lot. I seem to remember it being the 3rd or 4th largest English board on the 'net.

Some of those stats are way off for at least some of the boards. For example, it lists XBox-Scene as having about 122K members, when it actually has over 300K.

I wonder what they're using for a back-end database. I can't imagine MySQL holding up to that kind of usage, that's for sure.

WTF is Gaia and where did it come from, it dominates over #2 IGN by like 7x posts and 4x members!!!

I used to post avidly at IGN but gave up because once I used AT more frequently (I visited the site long before I started posting) was more mature beyond the childish "ButtseckZzzzz" dribble that would occur all day long. ATOT has more "taste" in that regard as things here are actually funny.

I'm suprised chinese boards aren't littered everywhere since china has a 1/6th of the world's population

Couldn't stay there long as the flashing Winner! Winner! Winner! banner was causing seizures, but it lists AnandTech members as 106651 and there are actually 149183.
