am i just retarded and they moved/renamed them, or did they stop?

i miss them, they made me sound sort of knowledgable when talking to other people when really i know nothing. now i sort of want to build a new computer, is there something equivalent around?

 
i'd much rather not pester other people over every little part, nor would i like to guess blindly.

but over all, i'd rather not stoop to actually buying one of the books that come up on google when i try to search for this sort of thing.
