i was tryin to get on last night, i just got our internet computer back up and running, and one of the first places i went to was these forums, and when it was loading soooo slooooowwwww, i thought it was something i did, and come to find out, well, thanks slashdot

It was a good article. I could've done without the text being pasted (I already read it and was trying to get the pictares to load).

The HD is only 20gb because that's all it needs. All it's going to be used for is game cache, saved online content, custom sound tracks (in 128kb WMA format, so = small), and the emulator code to run Xbox games. Remeber the Xbox only had an 8gb HD, do you know anybody who managed to fill that one with saves and XBL content?
 
i really wonder why /. users were enough to "overload" the servers though.... i think AT has a bunch of them now and this community is big as it is, you would have thought AT could have weathered a bunch of extra people reading one article (although im guessing it was the pictures that did it).
