In fact good luck finding benchies on either of these. Hey how about a video card roundup like tom's did, except not so fouled up.

I'd love to see this review. Last I saw the fx5900's were selling for considerably more than 9800's. I'd like to see how much performance that extra money gets, if any at all.

I would like to see it too. It will be a very smart move for Anandtech.

Do you what would be better for Anandtech to do? Is to go to a ware house full of PC games, buy 10 games (old, recent, and new games) and then buy the 9800np and 5900 non ultra retails and test (with the "latest" drivers) how many games would just work from the first time.

You know, those cards are not all about how well the hardware is.

My curses are on ATi's software engineering, may God one day punish them for their laziness. :|

Lol as long as we're doing a wishlist, all the current radeons and fx's benched together would be ideal for me. I just hate it when you go find benchmarks to compare but they're on different systems.:frown: Oh yeah, isn't that kind of the roundup thingy again?

But they're not the same price, thus not direct competition. Sure, 9800 benches would be nice, but a 9800 Pro is meant to compete with a 5900, as they're both $400 (vs. the $300 9800).

I'd like to see a board comparison like GamePC's reviews, too, to see how the high-end stacks up to the mid-range.

BTW, if you want 9800 numbers, check into some of FiringSquad's latest reviews.

True, and that's why 9800 np vs 5900 non ultra would be nice, but it would be nice to know at the same time how much more you get with 9800 np vs 9800 pro and ultra vs. non ultra, all of which are expensive cards.
