Any idea when?

It's getting good press around the web but frankly what some sites call a review is a joke.

I need someone to do a proper job on it.

I doubt that it is going to happen here at AnandTech at this stage in the 470's life cycle. I think I have seen reports about Samsung bringing out their Sata III SSD sometime this fall. Hopefully they will review that one at least.

The 470 seems like it is an excellent drive from everything I have read about it but for some reason it was pretty much ignored at AnandTech. They do have it included in the SSD benchmarks, but a full review would have been great.

Here is a comparison Vs. the Intel 320 ... http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/354?vs=359

Have you seen how well this drive is doing in the nand endurance tests over at XS Forums? It was a late starter to the test but has an insane amount of writes on it now. (320TB +). It's MWI was very conservative and ran out pretty fast but the drive has continued on. Looks like it suffers some pretty bad Write Amplification but that doesn't seem to be an issue considering how long this drive would last!

Edit: 360TB+ now :D Will it make it to 1PB? :D

The main reason I popped into this thread was that I'm kinda looking for something in the 128gb range for SSD's currently to replace my Intel X25-V :)

I'm looking at the following drives currently so far

Samsung 470 128gb
Crucial M4 128gb
Crucial RealSSD C300 128gb....Kinda leaning towards this one currently

Seems like these can all be had for around $200-$210 shipped to CA currently.

I'd love to see a review, too. The 256GB version is the one I'm looking at. Scouring the net doesn't indicate people are having any issues with it -- unlike some other sparkly drives.

I have 4 of the 256gb models. Two of them in my desktop and the other two are in another rig. I'm almost afraid to say something for fear of jinxing them. They are rock solid drives and they just work - no panic locks, no blue screens, no messing with constant firmware updates.

Cheers for the Samsung SSD toolbox screenshot. That toolbox looks really good. Looks like it does more than the average toolbox too. The Intel one looks good as well.

The OCZ toolbox looks like it was drawn in Paint.
