anyone miss when the mods would log in with that username? I used to have fun PM'ing the mod account and bullshitting with whoever replied. Of course they were anonymous back then, so I have no clue who I was talking to.

It took me years to figure out that even though no one was logged on to the mod account, I could still get banned.

Mod callout! Drop and give me 20, scumbag!

Yeah, we don't see enough mod edits anymore. Those were great as they often made fun of the OP even more.

When I scrolled down to that gif, it was already on the part where it was cracked, so following the formation of the hole and the raising of the "Hard Hat Area" sign, I assumed that those cracks were in fact a squashed stick figure. Imagine my disappointment when it looped.

Didn't there used to be a buddy list in Fusetalk and if the anandtech light was out no mod was on? Lots of shenanigans when the mod light was out. I remember hearing something about this somewhere.....

I also liked it when the mods posted in bold why they locked a thread. It was usually very funny and also, your learnt how to stay out of mischief!

It was a ruse. The Mods also had Mod tools available from their user accounts.

So even if I wasn't logged into the Mod account, I could still ban you and edit your post yo read:

Yes, you got in before the lock but you didn't get out before the ban.
