My brother got me this subscription and I happen to be browsing through it on the throne where it mentioned Anandtech as being a great geek resource for tehcnical information on computers in their "Best of the Web" article they ran in Aug 2003 issue. (Sorry for the long runon)

We were listed before Arstechnica.com. (Never heard of it)

Just figured I'd mention.

Hmm....anandtech is more popular than I thought. I don't even remember how I got here. I think I altavista'ed it. (Before there was google)

anandtech is a great review site, but ars leads it by quite a bit in technical information.
 
i found anand's site back when the k6-2 was about to be launched. i remember the old geocities website...... man that was a long time ago. i remember thinking "i wanna do what this kid is doing... wait, damn, he's about to launch some hardware site w/ his own domain!"
