Sorry not a great PIC but if you look hard enough she's all there. Them 2 pig tails you see off the GPU's are for PMW Fans that don't Work - Not enough Voltage to run the 4 x's PMW 140mm Noctuias so I manually run the 4 x's Fractal PMW 140mm fans off the Fractal Case Fan Controller - You don't need PMW Fans on your GPU Rad if you run a Manual Fan controller ;o)

14636180441_373ba7c735_b.jpg

Front View: Compact, Heavy and QUIET.

14636178371_1fe076eddd_b.jpg

Back View - Gotta do a little cleaning here - Rather tight with the Fractal Arc MIDI R2 case considering she's a 5.2 Ghz i7 by CF 290X @ 1180x1500Mhz platform.

--------------------------------

ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Gen3 /i7 2700K (Corsair H110) running at 1.6 to 4.8Ghz's 24/7 - 2 x's CF Ref 290x's RAZOR XSPC WB's / Samsung MV-3V4G3D-US_DDR3 @ 1866Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T 1.35v idling at 32C never reaching more then 68C under full load. Koolance RP 401x2 with 2 PMB 400 Pumps in Series over a Coolgate 280x60x140 Rad up front with 4 x's Noctuia PMW 140mm fans in Push/Pull cooling the GPU's. XFX 1050 Watt Black Edition BEFX KM3 PSU.

I can run her at 5.2Ghz's with GPU's at 1180x1500Mhz's where the CPU never goes above 68C under full load.

Fractal Design ARC MIDI R2 Case (Love It) Plus a WinTV PVC 1250 and optional Intel NIC.

Bios Cfg'd for Intel SATA RAID MODE with a Samsung 840 Pro 256MB SSD as Boot with 2 x's 500 WD Blacks in RAID-0 for a Playground and a WD 1TB Black for BackUp and Personal Files... etc.

Running Win7 64-Bit Sp1

----------------

Sorry for the Bad PIC's but it's all I can do with this Cam. I confess the case is so heavy that if I move her I may have to Re-Seat my GPU's so they will be recognized by the BIOS and load CF in WIN. If necessary I can run 2 X's 280x60x140 rads in Push/Pull.

This is a FAST, Cool, Heavy and Quiet BOX with minor alternations to the Fractal Design ARC MIDI R2 case; except at idle neither my i7 2700k and CF 290X's never throttle under load at what ever Speed I elect to run her at - Yes I can run the Ref 290X's at 1260x1500Mhz for Benching but I get Artifacts - 1180 x1500 is perfect and the final Bench Scores are about negligible.

All at between .9 to 1.34v 24/7 at with and 17 2700K @ 4.8Ghz's or maxed out at 1.5v @ 5.2 Ghz's and 290X's @ 1260 x1500Mhz's heavily OC'd and all under 50C for the GPU's under load - Should I say a COMPACT, FAST, COOL, QUIET and Heavy Box again - Love this Platform and I see no reason to upgrade this Z68 Platform to a 97Z MB/4790K (Whatever).

Not as pretty as the last contender but I'll beat the ass off whom ever approaches me - Dollar Wise that is. My Big Issue is that I can't can't keep my eyes from watering and sneezing. In my opinion when the Z68 with the i5 2500K and i7 2600 and 2700K came around was a MAGIC TIME for enthusiasts that can barely be matched today.

Lian Li Tyr PC-X500F

The stock Lian Li 2x120mm exhausts and 3x140mm intakes have been replaced. The front (top) panel ports were replaced to one with an internal USB3 20-pin header. The two removable drive bays (upper left, lower right) can each hold 3x3.5" drives and 1x2.5" drive, all using anti-vibration rubber mounts. There is a built-in 5 fan controller, with the control knob located on the back of the case (upper left).

The tool-less expansion card holder holds the cards securely, but is a real PITA to actually install cards with on motherboards that have capacitors or other raised components on the rear of the board. Often I have to unscrew the entire tool-less assembly and remove it completely before inserting a card. Larger CLCs could pose a problem, with only the front 140mm or rear 120mm available. If one seats the GPU in a lower slot, a 2x140mm may fit (or 2x120mm with adapters as the front intakes are solely 140mm mounts, not 120/140).

There was a expansion card stabilizer that connected vertically across the bottom 2/3 of the case, but couldn't be used with a large CPU cooler (even my old Tuniq 120, let alone a NH-D14/15). The PSU extender is a nice touch (not shown or used) that moves the PSU 65mm out the back of the case. The two 5.25" bays can open to either side of the case.

I would not classify the case as a great cooling case, but it's clean and the extra width makes cable routing behind the mobo tray really nice. I would certainly look for different design choices if I were buying today, but I've been through my fair share of cases and and I'm happy with these. Debatable if they were worth the price - to me they were, but to most probably not.

My most recent pictures of my case, moved the 2nd pump that feeds to the GPU and will do the same for the CPU pump eventually. added a GTX 980 with Hydro copper block to the mix.

Wow, that is a crazy nice rig. I would put more white lights inside instead of too much blue though.

Your color theme is super nice as it is, no need for blue lighting!

Can you tell me why you have two pumps? Is it for two loops?

Its funny you mention that because I actually pulled the blue LED's out of the case yesterday and did all white LED's. I kind of actually like it better now with the white.

I have two pumps because I have a dual loop in the case. The GPU is on its own loop and so is the CPU. Yes its over kill for my needs but I prefer to keep it cool and I have the space in the case so why not?

I went ahead and finished the job!
My son is in college and has his computer at school, so he needs one here for breaks and the summer. He is a COD and BF fan and is heading into the Marines after college so I liked the C70 ( and the green M56 mouse, just need a green K 70.)

Ordered the C70 and started hacking. First I made an aluminum panel to replace the side panel.

Then need to make it look like this:

So after painting the case ( color wasn't quite right), I had some stencils made:

And shot some holes in it for effect.

Finished product:

Painted the DVD drive:

All back together :

And now for the finishing touches:
Pulled both side panels, loaded up the AR-15 and shot some holes in them! I just don't have the time for the dremel/ airbrush thing :).

Add a 50 round belt of M-9 .50 cal and we are done!

I have started modding the inside for fans and configuration, but I will post all that when it's done. I'm waiting on Black Friday to by the parts.

Nice effort "Dad".. Respect.. The things we do for our kids, eh?
Looks like a fun project.. Would have been more fun if you were both squeezing off the rounds!
Nothing like starting a new build by shooting it full of holes first! :D

Funny, I never though of just shooting the case to put "bullet holes" in it!
Sometimes we all need a visit from superhero Captain Obvious.
