Anandtech laggy at all?

I'm pretty sure that this is only a one-person problem, but I brought it up incase anyone else is having similiar problems.
Everytime I navigate to the anandtech forums, my computer, in addition to internet explorer,gets immediately laggy and slow. In fact, my whole computer starts slowing down drastically.

I disabled scripting, and everything became fine - no lag, slowdown. I scanned my computer for viruses, in hope that something would come up, but nothing did.

Any suggestions?

Anandtech is nothing more than webpage, the website has nothing to do with your computer being laggy and slow.

Sounds like maybe IE is bogging down your system while trying to run the scripts on the site, or possibly while trying to load the ads the scripts bring up. The ads quite commonly slow down page loading for people. They could remove the scripts, but... if sites never change to take advantage of new technology, nobody would ever need to upgrade. Presumably you have all IE and Windows updates installed?
