Just wondering when AnandTech review about Abit's KR7A will be out?

From: Motherboards in 2002: Preview from Comdex, URL: http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.html?i=1560&p=2

There was:

Much more interesting to AnandTech readers will be ABIT's first KT266A motherboard, the KR7A-RAID. The KR7A- RAID brings to the table everything that you're used to seeing from ABIT plus a total of four DIMM slots. This is a very difficult thing to accomplish from an engineering standpoint yet ABIT has put in the extra effort to guarantee their board's operation with all four DIMM slots populated.

We'll test this functionality for sure as soon as the board arrives in our San Jose motherboard testing lab next week.

So it should be posted anytime now...? :):D

Perhaps there is an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) still active on the equipment. You'll have to wait until it expires if there is.

Yeah, let's hope so. :)

Though I have already ordered my Abit KR7A but would be nice to see Anand's comments about the board. :)

If you see this Anand, could you please inform us when we can expect it? Otherwise I keep refreshing your mainpage and will eat your bandwith one gig / day. :p

I'm using Abit KR7A-Raid right now (I'm a reviewer for a benchmark site...in Korea;)) and in my opinion,
it doesn't make enough difference to justify its price premium. It costs about US$200 here.

I've used MSI K7T266 Pro2 just before this one and they perform about the same. The KR7A-Raid has very good IDE performance and overclocking features, though.

It also has a very weird ATX form factor that won't enable you to use 9 screws to stick this thing into a normal ATX case.
Confused? Check out this picture I have taken.

weird!
The gap between those holes are closer than normal ATX 9-bolt form factor design.

If you wanna see more pictures, (of course not the text since it is in Korean. Oh, maybe the graphs..)

Have fun!

I just received my KR7-RAID and got it up this AM!:) So far, I have to say, it has been very easy to setup, no conflicts, problems whatsoever, and the O/C'ing is phenominal!:) Haven't had the oppertunity to B/M yet......but hopefully this Evening. Speed wise from a human stand point, I really can't detect and noticable difference except possibley that it seems "snappier".........BTW, the board replaced by this KR7-RAID was a KG7-RAID!;)

EDIT: Sorry Koch.....don't have an 8045 but from the looks of it I'm fairly certain it would.......;)
